Festival of Trees Will Provide Funds to Purchase New Electronic Fetal

Proceeds from the 2010 Festival of Trees will fund new Electronic Fetal Monitors for Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.   This gift, made possible in part by event sponsors like CGF Anesthesiology Associates, PC, Mark IV Industries Foundation, Tops Friendly Markets, Fisher-Price and the physician members of University at Buffalo Pediatric Associates, Inc., will enable the Hospital to replace all the monitors with the latest and most state-of-the–art equipment.  Constant monitoring and examination during the labor process will allow doctors to monitor progress and ensure the safest possible delivery with minimal complication for both baby and mother.

The Festival of Trees will come to life at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Buffalo November 20th - December 3rd.   As Western New York’s premier holiday event, an all-volunteer committee will create a magical backdrop featuring beautifully decorated trees, wreaths, mantel & window displays, a Boutique filled with holiday home décor and gifts and the gallery of miracles, a new walkway that will feature stories of hospital patients and some of their artwork.  There is something for everyone from our signature Black Tie Gala and Designer Reception to the all-new Women’s Holiday Luncheon, Family Day and a keepsake Holiday Favorites Cookbook featuring recipes from Western New Yorkers.   Visit the official website at www.fotbuffalo.com for all the details.

The Festival of Trees has been helping the hospital set the standard in pediatric medical care by donating more than $5 million in support of important programs, facility improvements and groundbreaking technology. In previous years, the Festival of Trees has raised money to help with the purchase a $1.5 million CT Scan, purchased a state-of-the-art Ultrasound Machine for $200,000 for the hospital, funding for $8 million Renovation and Expansion of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and $5 million Renovation and Expansion for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

The Festival will be open seven days per week for anyone in the holiday spirit to experience its winter wonderland of elegance and charm.  Hours are 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Additionally, several spectacular events including:
