Residents Encouraged to Attend Community Resource Fair
Events, Families, Schools

Residents seeking information about or assistance with family and household issues and necessities are invited to a free event that offers guidance on more than a dozen services, all in one location.

The Community Resource Fair will be held from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, at Cayuga Heights Elementary School, 1780 Como Park Blvd., Depew.

The Depew Union-Free School District and the Mobile Safety-Net Team are co-sponsoring the fair, which will feature representatives from the areas of family support and counseling, nutrition and school food, veterans, housing and legal services; as well as information on low-cost utilities, diabetes, food stamps, the Home Energy Assistance Program and more.

The program is open to all Erie County residents, and music, entertainment and activities for all ages will be provided. A separate area also will be open so residents may speak to representatives of organizations in a confidential setting.

Those who wish to apply for services are asked to bring identification for all household members, proof of all sources of income, Social Security cards, proof of rent or mortgage and heating bills. Those who are disabled or who are 60 and older should also bring medical bills, prescription printouts and proof of other medical-related expenses.

For more information, call 854-3494.
