Fun, Casual Watercolor Workshop for All Ages: "Paint Like James"

Join us at the Buffalo & Erie County Historical Society for two "Paint Like James" workshops. This continued programming is in conjunction with the Community Gallery exhibit, “James Marino: Bflo Watercolors.” In a casual atmosphere, Autistic Services Inc. Teaching Artist Dana Ranke will take children and all-age particpants on a colorful journey.

In two workshops, one geared more specifically towards children, and one for all ages (children at both must be accompanied by an adult), Autistic Services Teaching Artist Dana Ranke will offer inspiration and guidance through the creation of watercolor art. In addition to the hands-on painting activities, the Museum’s Program Manager, Tara Lyons, will take participants on a brief tour of the exhibit, which is also co-sponsored by Autistic Services Inc.

Materials are provided, and no experience is necessary. This is a fun and casual workshop.

Workshops:

Wednesday, September 7, from 6 to 7 p.m., for all ages.

Saturday, September 10, from 10 to 11 a.m., more geared toward children. Children are welcome at both sessions, and must be accompanied by an adult.

The workshops are free for museum members, and free with museum admission for non-members.

Space is limited; please register at bechsedu@bechs.org or by calling 873-9644 x311.
