Black Willow Winery to Hold Mead Release Party & Fundraiser

Black Willow Winery, located in Burt, N.Y., will be holding a special party and fundraiser to benefit Save-A-Pet on Saturday, June 25 for the release of their new line of meads. Festivities start at 1 p.m. with the live music by the Lochside Celtic Trio from 1:00 p.m. to 4 p.m. and music by Step In Time from 4:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. A pig roast dinner and food will be available to purchase for $14/meal from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. or until gone. All of the proceeds are going to benefit Save-A-Pet. Wine tasting will be available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Save-A-Pet is staffed by volunteers and is dedicated to saving the lives of homeless, abused and neglected dogs and cats. Save-A-Pet foster homes provide a safe haven for all the animals that are taken in.  All animals are checked by a veterinarian, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and receive any needed medical treatment in order to maximize the success of their placement in carefully screened homes. The organization is funded by charitable donations, which go to the care and medical needs of the animals that are rescued.

Black Willow Winery produces rich, artisan wines for wine enthusiasts, as well as those experiencing wine for the first time. The new line of honey wine will feature a traditional mead and two meads blended with unique flavors: strawberry vanilla and pear cinnamon mead. Black Willow Winery is of the newest wineries on the Niagara Wine Trail and is located at 5565 West Lake Rd in Burt, N.Y., just one mile west of Olcott.
