Weinberg Campus Honored as 2011 Business of the Year for Health & Health Services

Amherst, New York – Weinberg Campus, a premier senior living complex located in Getzville, was named the 2011 Business of the Year recipient in the Health & Health Services category from the Amherst Chamber of Commerce.  David Dunkelman, President/CEO of Weinberg Campus, accepted the award on behalf of the non-profit organization.

The Amherst Chamber of Commerce recognized Weinberg Campus as a leader in senior-living care for its flexibility in adapting to the needs of this community and providing the appropriate program or service to meet those needs.  According to Dunkelman, “Today over 20% of Amherst is 65+.  This is where the rest of the country will be in 20 years”.

As a non-profit organization serving serving all faiths, Weinberg Campus has a variety of living options and customizable care programs in small-scale, tailored environments including Independent Apartments, Assisted Living, Rehabilitation, Home Health Care, Skilled Nursing, Respite Services and Adult Day Programs.

Weinberg Campus is home to over 600 residents who make Amherst their town.  In addition, the Campus employs over 550 individuals.  Weinberg Campus will open its newest addition, Amherst Glen Senior Apartments, this December and is currently completing a $2 million renovation of their nursing home.
