Tenesee Man Sentenced on Gun Charge

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Acting U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr. announced today that David E. Rhoades, 36, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, who was convicted of possession of a firearm as an unlawful user of a controlled substance, was sentenced to 15 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo.

Town of Tonawanda Police Seek Bottle Return Bandits

The TTPD is looking for the public's assistance identifying these two suspects involved in an armed robbery at Cash for Cans, 447 Kenmore Ave. on Monday, March 6th. They are described as black males. One is approximately 5'9" 160 lbs, and the other 5'6 170 lbs with a medium build. One of the suspects did display a handgun. Both suspects fled the scene on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.  [UPDATE 3/10/17] Amherst Police detectives say that after releasing the surveillance photo of the bank robbery suspect to the public, the FBI and Amherst Police received numerous tips. After an investigation Thomas Cascio, age 51 from Cheektowaga was arrested in connection with the robbery at the Key Bank 5100 Main Street.   [AMHERST, NY] - The Amherst Police are investigating a bank robbery which occurred at the Key Bank 5200 Main Street at the corner of South Forest Road in Williamsville. On March 6, 2017 at around 1:00 pm in the afternoon a white male entered the bank, presented a note demanding money and took an undetermined amount of cash.
