Celebrate St. Patrick's Day at the Carrousel Museum

NORTH TONAWANDA, NY – You don’t have to be Irish to join in on the St. Patrick’s Day fun!

The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum located at 180 Thompson Street, is hosting an all-ages St. Patrick’s Day Celebration from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm for only $5 per person.

Come out for a great afternoon of crafts, games, history, and a scavenger hunt to find the fabled pot of gold.    

In addition, The McCarthy School of Irish Dance is scheduled to unveil a special performance beginning at 2:00 pm.

Home County Folk Festival is Music to the Ears of WNYers

We all know how Western New Yorker’s love a good festival, so you’ll be pleased to learn that preparations are well under way for nearby London, Ontario’s famously popular Home County Folk Festival, July 15-17.

The 38th “Retro Revolution” festival, held in beautiful Victoria Park, is wheelchair accessible and close to Richmond Row shopping and downtown hotels. This admission by donation event features 25 of Canada's best roots, traditional and indie folk/pop acts. Blues, bluegrass, Celtic and country influenced artists are also presented. 

You’ve Gotta Have Art Festival

Sales and display of a variety of fine arts featuring 40 Western New York artisans. Music, crafts for kids and much more, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, March 5 at the Clarence Presbyterian Church, 9675 Main St., Clarence; Free. 689-1039

Kenilworth Volunteer Fire Company Holding Annual Fish Fry

The Kenilworth Volunteer Fire Company in Tonawanda will host its annual Fish Fry on Ash Wednesday March 9. The Company will then host Fish Fry's every following Friday from March 11 through April 22.

The Fish Fry will run from 4:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. and will feature Haddock Fish Dinners, Shrimp in a Basket Dinner, and a Chicken Finger Basket all for $8.00.

The Fire Company is located at 84 Hawthorne Avenue near UB. Take out orders can be placed by calling 838-1219.
