Weinberg Campus Graduates New Class of Seniors from Brain Fitness program

Only Facility in WNY with Program

Amherst, New York -- Weinberg Campus, a senior living community in Amherst, New York, celebrated the graduation of three additional residents from their Brain Fitness Program, a breakthrough computer-based technology designed to improve memory and exercise the brain.  A graduation ceremony took place last week in Dosberg Manor – the assisted living community on campus.

The group of three seniors completed 40 hours of computer training and exercises focusing on auditory skills for faster thinking, sharper focus, and better memory.  According to Posit Science, creators of the program, people who enroll in the program can take in more of what they hear – speech, music, and sounds – so they can react to and remember it better.

A new class of seniors is already enrolled for the next session which meets in the Computer Lab on campus.

Weinberg Campus is the only senior living community in Western New York to have the Brain Fitness Program and has had two dozen residents graduate from the program since it was started in 2009.

Weinberg Campus provides a variety of living options and customizable care programs to meet the needs of senior living, all in one location. For more information about the programs and services provided at Weinberg Campus, please 639-3311 for a personalized tour.
