NEW YORK CITY – in the early morning hours Occupy Wall Street Protesters were in force approximately five hundred strong attempting to reoccupy Union Park in the City.  The majority of the event was covered by freelance camera people of a sort and broadcast via the internet at the blogger website AnonOps. If that same seems familiar, it could be because that website seems to be the public relations department for the hack-tivist  group “Anonymous”.

Those who tuned in were offered a walking tour of the protest from behind the police barricades and, while NBC nightly News it was not, offered a glance into not only the manners in which the event was being covered. It featured discussion between freelance journalists whom was covering the event and humor. It documented how income was being derived and how the electronic media is now so easily accessible.  Donation buttons, twitter feedback, high end video cameras and Apple iPads were the tools of the day, while a card table was set up and signs delivered and created.

According to the Occupy Wall Street website, approximately a handful or protesters were arrested and an ambulance was called according to another source for a woman whom was experiencing an unrelated medical issue. One woman received injures during the event.  Currently no statements are posted at the New York City Police Department site.
