Come and find out the answers during a fascinating program called "The Geology of Western New York," with geologist, Stan Radon, November 6, 2:00 PM at the Kenan Center, 433 Locust Street, Lockport. The program, which is part of the WNY Land Conservancy Speaker Series, will also include discussion of the formation of salt, oil and gas deposits, and the unique ecological conditions that have contributed to Niagara County's heritage and economy. The event is free to the public.
Popular for his gripping tours of local rock formations, Stan Radon has been a geologist with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation for the past 20 years and teaches geology and environmental sciences at SUNY at Buffalo and Daemen College.
